Project Overview
The project was to redesign the KYS kneader in a more aesthetic way to ensure visual appeal with minimal form factor keeping in mind the Nordic design sense.
Challenge
The challenge was the smallest form factor, to incorporate belts and pulleys assembly with the correct ratio at the kneader head. We had to design a novel universal joint for opening and closing of the lid
Solution
We utilized Solidworks for this product design, achieving the desirable size as well as the aesthetics. The pulley trains were tested using ANSYS and every thing used was of standard size for ease in manufacturing.
Concept Sketches
We took idea from KYS Norway team and sketched various concepts out of which one was selected.
3d CAD & Modelling
We came up with a work of the art 3d CAD design for the KYS kneader and coming up with a unique yet minimalistic shape.
Design for Manufacture
Our design expertise enabled us to deliver a part to part 3d drawings and files for client to easily 3d print and test everything out.
Prototyping
Our design is made in a way that it is really easy to 3d print to show the technical application of your idea.
