Project Overview

The client wanted to make a soup Ladle that can self clean from the bottom surface ensuring no spill happens while pouring out, the most tricky part was to handle a one hand actuated mechanism to do the cleaning cycle.

Challenge

The requirement explained that the client wants to build a novel mechanism and it should be actuated using only one hand the same for pouring hot liquids, choosing right materials and making the device dishwasher safe was the biggest hurdle in the way.

Solution

We came up with an ingenious solution to the problem using some gears and tension wire to actuate the cleaner on the bottom, changing the axis of rotation was the trickiest part of the job.
